THE WEATHER
BEST TIME TO VISIT CHINA
China is massive, and although it has four distinct seasons, the climate varies hugely depending on where you go. The north has freezing winters and warm summers, while the south stays subtropical year round. Spring and autumn are generally the most comfortable seasons to travel, with mild temperatures and less rain across most of the country. Temperatures can range anywhere from −20°C in Harbin in winter to 35°C+ in southern summers.
Spring Season
March – May: One of the best times to visit China. Expect blooming landscapes, mild temperatures, and comfortable travel conditions. Perfect for exploring major cities like Beijing, Xiamen, Xian, Shanghai and more without extreme weather.
Summer Season
June – August: Summer is hot and humid across much of the country, with monsoon rains common in southern regions. While cities can feel intense, this is a great time for mountain destinations and high-altitude areas.
Autumn Season

CHINESE FOOD, CULTURE, AND TRADITIONS
Culture in every flavor
FOOD, CULTURE, AND TRADITIONS

Chinese food is wildly diverse and varies dramatically from region to region. The north loves its dumplings, noodles, and hearty wheat-based dishes, while the south is all about rice, seafood, and dim sum. One of the most famous regional styles is Cantonese cuisine, known for its delicate flavors, fresh ingredients, and iconic dishes like wonton noodles.
Meals here are always shared, with dishes placed in the center of the table, often on a rotating tray, for everyone to enjoy together. Tea also plays a central role in daily life, symbolizing hospitality, respect, and tradition.

China’s culture stretches back over 5,000 years, making it one of the oldest civilizations on the planet. From calligraphy and silk weaving to martial arts and traditional opera, the depth of Chinese heritage is truly staggering.
Whether you are watching a tai chi session in a park at sunrise, exploring ancient water towns, or joining locals for a lively karaoke night, you will feel the warmth and pride of Chinese culture everywhere. History here is not just in museums, it is woven into the streets, the food, and the daily rhythms of life.

Festivals and celebrations play a central role in China, bringing families and communities together. One of the most important is Chinese Lunar New Year, marked by red decorations, family gatherings, and centuries-old customs.
Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism have all left their mark, and you will see their influence in temples, tea ceremonies, and the deep respect for family and elders that runs through Chinese society.
From the art of feng shui to the practice of giving red envelopes during celebrations, Chinese traditions reflect harmony, respect, and connection. Old and new exist side by side.
